EA Sports F1 2001 Review: EA Sports F1 2001 is a video game based on the 2001 Formula One season. It was developed by Image Space Incorporated & published by EA Sports. EA Sports F1 2001 is the successor to F1 2000 & was the 2nd title in the EA Sports F1 Series. The game was released for the Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 2 & the Xbox platforms. EA Sports F1 2001's gameplay focuses on a new training mode, allowing the players to improve their skills & eventually be able to unlock new modes as the progress of training is made.
The game was well received by critics & received a nomination from GameSpot for their Driving Game of the Year. EA Sports F1 2001 features the seventeen Tracks & a select choice of twenty two Drivers who competed in the 2001 Season. The game modes feature the quick race format where the player gains points to access the seventeen Tracks. EA Sports F1 2001's premiere mode is called "Grand Prix" which includes 5 distnict modes of gameplay including a full championship season with all the seventeen rounds of the 2001 Season that includes the Practice & Qualifying sessions along with the Race itself, single race weekend, custom championship where the player chooses how many rounds the player chooses to compete, a team-mate challenge mode where the gamer has to defeat every team-mate in all the eleven teams, the game's domination mode requires the player to win every round of the championship without conceding defeat.
