Yamaha Supercross Game Review: Yamaha Supercross is a racing video game for the Wii, PC, the Nintendo DS, and the PlayStation 2 consoles. It was developed by Coyote Console. Zoo Digital published the game in the United Kingdom, and DSI Games published it in North America. It was 1st released in the month of November, 2008 in North America. The Wii version of Yamaha Supercross is built from the ground up, opposed to simply being the PlayStation 2 version port. Yamaha Supercross involves racing customized off road motorcycles on dirt tracks. The players master their bike handling skills over obstacles & steep jumps while racing fellow riders. Mud can affected the track conditions, bumps, & changing weather. Yamaha license will be recognised by fans of Supercross & bikes in general. Championship Mode allows the players to take on 3 distinct Championship Series. Each is progressively more difficult. The players can choose their challenge with the Arcade Mode. They can also select their track, bike, the number of opponents they want to take on & the weather conditions. Ghost Mode requires players to practice against their best. Split screen multiplayer supports both co-operative "team" and competitive play. All tracks feature obstacles such as jumps, rhythm sections and whoops. The visual effects in game includes dust, mud, rain, exhaust smoke, splashes and lights. Handling and performance of the bikes are affected by variable weather conditions. As the game advances,rewards such as new bikes, tracks, and decals are unlocked. Variety of camera angles are included such as Follow Cam, Fly-Through, Look Behind, Jump & Replay Cam.
