Need for Speed: Most Wanted Review: Need for Speed: Most Wanted is commonly abbreviated as NFS: MW or simply Most Wanted. It is a 2012 open world racing video game, which was developed by British games developer Criterion Games & published by Electronic Arts. The game was announced on 4th June, 2012, during EA's E3 press conference. Need for Speed: Most Wanted is the 19th game in the long running Need for Speed series & was released worldwide for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Android, PlayStation Vita, & iOS, beginning in North America on 30th of October, 2012, with a Wii U version following on 14th of March 2013. The game picked up on the Most Wanted IP that Criterion developed previously. Most Wanted is likened to the Burnout series. As in Burnout Paradise, the races have a start & end point but players can choose their own route to the finish line, the departure from the original Most Wanted, similar to Crew challenges from the sequel, Carbon. The Most Wanted uses Autolog, the competition between friends system which was developed by Criterion for Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, & since used in other titles in the Need for Speed series. Most Wanted's soundtrack contains a variety of licensed music. The game mainly comprises electronic music, alternative rock & hip hop.
