The Walking Dead Review: The Walking Dead is an episodic point & click adventure role playing video game for OS X, iOS, Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 & Xbox 360. The game is based on Robert Kirkman's The Walking Dead comic book series. The Walking Dead was developed by Telltale Games & initially slated for release in the last months of the year 2011, but was held back until early 2012 to allow further time for development. The Walking Dead is consist of 5 episodes, released between April & November 2012. The Walking Dead is played from a 3rd person perspective with a variety of cinematic camera angles, in which the player assumes the role of protagonist named Lee Everett, who works with a rag tag group of survivors to stay alive. Lee Everett can examine & interact with characters & items, & must make use of inventory items & the environment. The player is presented with the ability to interact with their surroundings throughout the game. According to Robert Kirkman, The Walking Dead game has focused more on developing characters & story, and less on the action tropes that tend to feature in other zombie based games. At certain points in The Walking Dead's conversation trees, you will have a limited amount of time to respond. Some parts of The Walking Dead require timed responses from the player, often leads significant decisions that will impact the game story, in the manner of role playing games. The player is required to make a selection of some conversation trees within a limited time, otherwise player will remain quiet, which may affect how other characters respond to him.
