Serious Sam 3: BFE Review: Serious Sam 3: BFE is a 1st person shooter video game. It was developed by Croteam & published by Devolver Digital. It's the latest game in the Serious Sam series & a prequel to Serious Sam: The First Encounter. Serious Sam 3: BFE's story takes place in the 22nd century, during the Mental's invasion of the Earth, implied in The First Encounter. Serious Sam 3: BFE is set in Egypt & features a sixteen player co-operative campaign mode, as well as four player splitscreen. It was released on 22 November, 2011 on Windows, 17 October, 2012 on Xbox Live Arcade. On 7 November, 2012, the Linux version was made available through the Linux Steam.
Serious Sam 3: BFE Gameplay: Serious Sam 3: BFE involves fighting against many hordes of enemies in wide-open environments. Serious Sam 3 has more closed environments than its predecessors in the early levels. There are a larger number of enemies that can attack the player from a distance. The player carry an unlimited amount of weapons, including a rocket launcher, minigun, assault rifle & a cannon. There are thriteen weapons total, and 5 of them have a manual reload. The signature close combat weapons from the 1st game, chainsaw & knife, have been replaced with a sledgehammer with 3 modes of attack. There are no puzzles, though the player must find keys, pull levers & find environmental anomalies to progress. The game features some new gameplay mechanics such as sprinting & iron sights. The player is able to sprint as much as he want, but can't attack while sprinting.
