Borderlands 2 Game Review: Borderlands 2 is an action role playing 1st-person shooter video game. It was developed by Gearbox Software & published by 2K Games. Borderlands 2 is the sequel to the 2009's Borderlands & was released for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows, & OS X platforms. As with the 1st game, the Borderlands 2 players complete a campaign consisting of central quests & optional side missions as 1 of 4 Vault hunters on the planet named Pandora. The key gameplay features from the original game, like an online collaborative campaign gameplay; randomly generated loot, like weapons & shields; & character-building elements commonly found in role playing video games are found in Borderlands 2. It was released to critical acclaim on 18 September, 2012. DLC for the game has also been released subsequently.

Borderlands 2 Gameplay: Borderlands 2 builds the gameplay elements introduced in Borderlands. It is a 1st-person shooter that includes elements found in role-playing games, leading the Gearbox to call the game a "role-playing shooter." At the beginning of the game, the players select one of 4 new characters, each has a unique special skill & proficiencies with certain weapons. Then the players take on quests assigned through non player characters or bounty boards, typically rewarding the player with experience points, money, & sometimes a reward item.
