Freedom Fighters Game Review: Freedom Fighters is also known as Freedom: The Battle For Liberty Island. It is a 2003 3rd person shooting video game. It is available for the Nintendo GameCube, PlayStation 2, Microsoft Windows & Xbox. The game was developed by IO Interactive. It uses the modified version of the Hitman 2: Silent Assassin game engine. The game was  published by Electronic Arts. Freedom Fighters is set in an alternate history where the Red Army has invaded & occupied New York City. The player assumes the role of Christopher Stone. He is a plumber turned American Resistance movement leader. The player navigates through the streets of New York while fighting the Soviet forces. Freedom Fighters contains squad-based elements, having a charisma meter. In the game, the player gains charisma by performing heroic deeds in the resistance movement against the invading forces. The more charisma gained, the more squad mates the character recruit. The game uses a simple method of controlling recruits in battle. The player can command recruits in the game by giving them simple orders such as "attack", "follow", & "defend".
