Giana Sisters Twisted Dreams Game Review: Giana Sisters Twisted Dreams is a platform game. It was developed by Black Forest Games for Windows. The game is the successor to the 1987 Commodore sixty four title The Great Giana Sisters & sequel to the 2009 re-imagining Giana Sisters DS. It was funded through fan donations on the Kickstarter website, reaching its goal of $150,000.

Giana Sisters Twisted Dreams Plot: A giant dragon holds Maria prisoner when she is abducted to the Dream World. It is now up to Giana, Maria's sister, who has become a teenager in the time since the last entry in the series, to enter the Dream World & rescue Maria. Because Giana is in a stage of her life that is all about transformation and she has learned how to manipulate her dreams. Giana must use this newly developed ability to jump between dreams & transform herself into a "Punk" and "Cute" persona in order to deal with her inner conflict & fear while she searches for Maria. As in the past, Giana can pick up crystals for points & discover secrets.

Giana Sisters Twisted Dreams Music: The game brings back the composer of the original Great Giana Sisters, Chris Hülsbeck, along with the Swedish heavy metal band Machinae Supremacy & Fabian Del Priore who also worked on Giana Sisters DS.

Giana Sisters Twisted Dreams Kickstarter: The Kickstarter campaign was launched on 30th of July, 2012. Along with the announcement of Kickstarter campaign, a gameplay video was distributed narrated by the company's own mascot. 19 rewards were made available in total, ranging from the price point of $10 for a downloadable copy of Giana Sisters Twisted Dreams to $10,000 for a new copy of the extremely rare Atari-ST version of the original 1987 game. The rewards were also downloadable digital & physical copies of an artbook by Pikomi based on the Giana Sisters franchise, owl plushies and soundtrack CDs. On 29th of August, 2012, the Kickstarter campaign reached its set goal.
