Viking Battle For Asgard Review: Viking Battle for Asgard is an action-adventure and slash video game. The game was developed by The Creative Assembly & Sega published it. The game was announced on 21st of August, 2007 by SEGA in Europe & released in North America on 25th of March & Europe on 28th of March, 2008. The game is based on Norse mythologye the war between the gods has sparked further conflict in the mortal realm of Midgard, where Skarin, Freya's champion, must lead Viking forces against that of the Goddess Hel. Viking Battle for Asgard features an open world experience, with 3 islands in the world of Midgard to explore. The player is able to search & find his fellow Viking soldiers & rescue them, & in return they can assist him in battles. There are some changes made to game. Quick time events being one, used to bring down the larger & tougher enemies, from bringing down giants in the game to shaking off an assassin's grip. The way of fighting is also different, the player fight each enemy individually rather than in groups, he can no longer do a sweeping attack to clear enemies away, he may only strike them one by one. The RPG element requires the player to buy combos & specialist attacks as he advances through the game. The game world has plenty of settlements which player can capture & attack. In each island, as the player finishes his missions, he must fight a large battle, that can be a great siege or a clash between large armies. The main feature of the game is the large armies.
