Mass Effect 3 Review: Mass Effect 3 is an action role playing video game developed by BioWare & published by Electronic Arts It is available for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 & Wii U. The game was officially announced on 11th of December, 2010 and was released on 6th of March, 2012 & marks the final chapter in the Mass Effect trilogy of video games. Certain aspects of Mass Effect 3's gameplay in are impacted by choices made in previous games. In the beginning of the game, players with saved files from Mass Effect & Mass Effect 2 are given the option of importing them into Mass Effect 3 to reflect these choices. An expanded leveling up screen demonstrating skill trees in Mass Effect 3. The 1st 3 levels of the skill tree are singular whereas the final 3 levels require the player to select from one of two options. The game has 3 pre-set campaign modes: Story Mode, Action Mode, and RPG Mode. In Story Mode, conversations have manual replies & a minimal combat difficulty. In Action Mode, conversations have automatic replies & a normal combat difficulty. In RPG Mode, conversations have manual replies & a normal combat difficulty. To level up characters in the game, player is given skills that start along a single path but eventually splinter into 2 branches where they can select only one upgrade or the other along a sequence of possibilities. The player can also customize weapons with different scopes, barrels, mods, & ammo types. There are 25 weapon mods total 5 per weapon type & each of them will have multiple power levels to collect.
