Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien Review: Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien is generally shortened as Runner2. It is a 2013 side-scrolling platformer developed by Gaijin Games. Runner2 is the direct sequel to Bit.Trip Runner & has been released as a downloadable title available on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, & Wii U consoles, Mac OSX, Microsoft Windows, & on Linux. It'll be released on the PlayStation Vita & Apple's iOS. The Mac, PC, Linux, & Wii U versions were self-published by Gaijin Games, & the 360 & PlayStation 3 versions were published by Aksys Games. The Cutscenes & menus are narrated by Charles Martinet of Mario fame. The Runner2 has a lot in common with its predecessor, the game's polygonal graphics mark a significant departure from past entries in the Bit.Trip series. In the interview with Push Square, the Gaijin Games co-founder Mike Roush cited the studio’s urge to “spread its wings a bit” as inspiration behind the change. Since Runner2's release, the game has been received warmly by press & players alike. The 360 version of Runner2 currently holds an 87 on Metacritic, which is followed closely by the PlayStation 3, PC & Wii U versions, sit at 86, 85 and 84, respectively.
