Shattered Galaxy Game Review: Shattered Galaxy is a massively multiplayer online real-time strategy. The game was released in 2001 by Nexon Inc., now known as KRU Interactive, after extensive open beta period. In the US, Shattered Galaxy was published by TriSynergy. The game combines the attributes of a massive multiplayer online role-playing game & a real-time strategy game. Shattered Galaxy won the Seumas McNally Grand Prize at the 2001 Independent Games Festival & hosted through the Game Developers Conference, Shattered Galaxy has been commercially unsuccessful due in large part to its dated graphics engine. It was published under the name Tactical Commanders in South Korea, and published by Nexon until  31st December, 2005. Shattered Galaxy has also been serviced in Japan, Taiwan, & Germany.

Shattered Galaxy Gameplay: Shattered Galaxy is consist of 2 interrelated & different gameplay aspects. The RPG side, which has the player in control of an avatar can buy upgrades, units, & special abilities as well as visit other provinces & buildings such as simulators, HQ's, & Portals to other planets. It's through this Avatar that the player joins or starts battles with other players, by walking into a province not controlled by player's nation. When the avatar enters any province controlled by an opposing faction battle is commenced & the "RTS" aspect of gameplay is engaged.
