Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Game Review: It is a 2002 open world action and adventure video game. It was developed by Rockstar North in the United Kingdom. The game was published by Rockstar Games. Vice City is the 2nd 3D game in the Grand Theft Auto video game franchise & 6th original title overall. Vice City was debuted in North America on 29th of October, 2002 for the PlayStation 2 & was later ported to the Xbox, & Microsoft Windows in the year 2003. It was made available on Steam on 4th of January, 2008, & on the Mac App Store on 25th of August, 2011. Vice City draws much of its inspiration from 1980s American culture. Vice City is set in 1986 in a fictional city named as Vice City, the game story revolves around Mafia hitman Tommy Vercetti, who recently released from prison. He, after being involved in a drug deal gone wrong, seeks out those responsible while building a criminal empire & seizing power from other criminal organizations in the city. Vice City uses a tweaked version of the game engine used in Grand Theft Auto 3 and similarly presents a huge cityscape, populated with buildings, vehicles, & people. Vice City has elements from driving games & 3rd person shooters, & features an open world gameplay that gives the player more control over their playing experience. There are about 114 types of vehicles in the game compared to the approximate 85 in GTA III. Automobiles, taxicabs, & boats return from the game, while new additions include helicopters & motorcycles. The car physics & features are relatively similar to that of GTA 3, & some cars were added to the game, while some vehicles from that game are highly modified. As of 26th of September, 2007, Vice City has sold 15 million units according to Take-Two Interactive. As of 26th of March, 2008, Vice City sold 17.5 million units according to Take Two Interactive, making it the 4th highest selling video game for the PlayStation 2.
